Stream Cleanup
Mālama Mānoa is proud to have participated in the City and County of Honolulu “Adopt-a-Stream” program for 13 years and counting. We adopted the section of Mānoa Stream from the Kahaloa Drive bridge near Mānoa District Park, down to the Woodlawn Drive bridge near Mānoa Marketplace.
To join in, meet up on the Woodlawn Drive bridge at 10:00 AM, and we will finish promptly by 12 noon or before. Wear old clothes and sturdy shoes, boots or sneakers. If you want, bring a walking stick or pole to steady yourself and help in grabbing trash. We provide gloves and bags.
Enjoy the stream wildlife and the isolation from the city noise and confusion. You can’t even see the city from down in the stream bed. It’s a different world!
